Bad Girls of History is an electrifying hour-long audio-visual, live DJ experience presented by DJ Carly Gray. This high-energy feminist dance party, celebrates rebellious women from history who broke the rules and changed the world. Set to an empowering soundtrack featuring contemporary female artists like Taylor Swift, Chappel Roan, and Cyndi Lauper, the event immerses audiences in a visually stunning and joy-filled nightclub atmosphere. 
 
Through synchronised live visuals and a dynamic narrative, Bad Girls of History weaves inspiring stories of iconic “bad girls” with anthems of empowerment. Highlights include curated visuals spotlighting historical heroines, a vibrant, inclusive dance floor experience, and bespoke elements like themed cocktails at the venue. 
 

Bad Girls of History sets out to honour and amplify the legacy of women who dared to be different, get ready to dance, sing and celebrate female icons of the past and present for the first time at the 2025 Adelaide Fringe! About DJ Carly

From the depths of the vibrant party scene in Melbourne comes DJ Carly Gray – Visual Artist, Animator, VJ and Music Producer. The Perth-born Melbourne-based DJ has been spinning for the wildest celebrations, both locally and internationally, since 2013. 
 
Making the leap to visual DJing in 2024, the creation of “Bad Girls” combines Carly’s talent for visual storytelling, animation and music production to painstakingly craft all the custom visuals herself. Created from her uniquely feminine point of view, “Bad Girls” was born out of the desire to highlight inspiring stories of women in a joyful and inclusive way that celebrates girlhood.
