Forming in the APY Lands in a remote community known as Pukatja, DEM MOB have been on a mission of cultural empowerment through their music.
The first hip hop group to rap in Pitjantjatjara, DEM MOB have gone from strength to strength, taking home 5 awards at the most recent SA Music Awards including Best Hip Hop Group.
2023 also saw DEM MOB take their Pitjantjatjara rap styling to Primavera Sound in Barcelona with great success and in 2024 the group will tour select North American dates for the first time including NYC and Toronto.
