J.R.R. Tolkien’s The Lord of the Rings trilogy has captivated readers for 70 years, with its rich tapestry of storytelling and evocative poetry inspiring composers across generations. Celebrate this enduring legacy with acclaimed Adelaide harpist-singer Emma Horwood as she weaves Tolkien’s poetry into an enchanting musical experience. Accompanied by dramatic readings from the books and breathtaking visual imagery on The Lab’s LED screens, this performance promises to transport you to Middle-earth.

Featuring works by renowned English composers Stephen Oliver and Donald Swann, alongside Australian talents Helen Cartridge, Andrew Close, Carl Crossin and Judith Clingan, the programme showcases Emma’s crystal-clear voice and exquisite harp playing in a spellbinding blend of classical and Celtic styles.
