Gearing up for the debut of Australia’s first AI-hosted AR/VR story living experience, Mirror XR Shards of Memories, Lab Rats returns to present an engaging panel discussion exploring the impact of emerging technologies on traditional storytelling and how such narratives are being employed to support and address mental health concerns in youth.
Mirror XR is Australia’s first production of its kind, blending cutting-edge AR, VR, 2D AI-vtubers, immersive VFX, SFX, and theatrical effects into a seamless transmedia experience that encourages personal interpretation and reflection. Mirror XR is a culturally inclusive and highly engaging show that combines local vision with global influences. Drawing inspiration from Japan’s anime culture, the production features a massive 24-meter wide, 3.5-meter tall U-wall LED screen and integrates AI-hosted extended realities to push the boundaries of immersive performance. While grounded in its Australian roots, Mirror XR is set to make a global impact.
