ILA Artist Fund Recipients October 2024

In October, ILA reached a major milestone, bringing together artists from diverse disciplines alongside industry leaders, donors, philanthropists, and corporate sponsors to celebrate the talented applicants from the first round of our Artist Fund—and to honour the recipients selected for this round of support.

ILA exists to support big, bold, innovative ideas and the creative minds behind them. We believe the next generation of art is about experiencing things that catch the memory and move the soul. That’s a new age of art, a new world that ILA wants to live in. ILA is dedicated to supporting the artists that we stand for, and that stand for us. The ILA Artist Fund was was established to support innovative new art, encouraging artists to explore the intersection of art and technology.

The evening began with a welcome from the Hon Andrea Michaels MP, Minister for Arts who reinforced the importance of creativity in our community and the impact this has on our state. This was followed by a performance from long time collaborator and supporter of ILA, Gill Hicks who treated us to a selection of highlights of her work accompanied by Julian Ferraretto.

Our first round of funding applications confirmed what we’ve always known – there are countless incredible artists with inspiring concepts and brilliant ideas just waiting for the support they need to bring their visions to life. We are thrilled to share with you below the recipients of this rounds funding.

Nick Deboar

Nick Deboar, a freelance 3D artist and director with over 20 years of experience in digital arts, brings his latest project to ILA for further development through the ILA Quick Response Program.
