Production Lead

The Production Lead is part of the ILA creative team and is integral in contributing to the design and scope of immersive art productions and live experiences. This role works closely with our technical and production team, helping turn ideas into reality, from early planning through to installation and event delivery.

The role is responsible for coordinating logistics, development, and delivery of creative projects, working closely with creative, technical and production teams to ensure requirements and timelines are clearly defined and projects efficiently executed. It oversees documentation, scheduling, artist liaison and onsite operations throughout all stages of the process, in conjunction with the production and technical teams.

ILA VOLUNTEER

About the role

This role will support the on-the-ground ILA team by providing customer assistance and operational support. This role works alongside the hospitality team, production staff as part of the ILA Creative team, and more broadly across the business including with marketing and administration. 

The role of volunteer at ILA could involve any of the following things: 

  • Customer assistance: 
  • Greeting patrons and directing them to the areas they may need to go to 
  • Answering any questions patrons may have relating to things such as venue facilities, ticketing or the experience/event they are attending 
  • Crowd ushering and risk management: 
  • Directing patrons in specific areas, to ensure efficient movement between our spaces. For example: actively seeking customers for the next session, and gently guiding them to the session commencement area 
  • Monitoring patrons in various spaces to ensure ILA’s equipment is not being tampered with incorrectly 
  • Promptly reporting any issues that they notice/are alerted of to relevant ILA staff 
  • Promotions and ticketing 
  • Scanning tickets to admit patrons, and trouble-shooting ticketing issues (searching on our ticketing system to locate patrons’ tickets if they cannot find theirs) 
  • Providing welcome spiel to groups of patrons at the commencement of an event/session 
  • Actively promoting extra activities on that day to patrons (eg encouraging patrons to use the bar/café) 
  • Any other duties from time to time. 

Venue and Operations Manager

The Venue and Operations Manager is responsible for the management and oversight of technical and operational requirements across the building. This role ensures the building is a safe, compliant, and well maintained environment for tenants, staff, visitors, and contractors through proactive planning, responsive issue resolution, and continuous operational oversight.

The Venue and Operations Manager will help to facilitate delivery of high-quality experiences for all who engage with ILA.  This includes efficient rostering and management of technical production staff.
