What is the ILA Artist Fund?
The ILA Artist Fund supports innovative new art through funding for both emerging and established artists. It provides grants and resources for artists creating immersive works and offers opportunities for donors to engage with the creation of exciting new art.
Who can apply for the ILA Artist Fund?
The ILA Artist Fund rounds that provide in cash financial support are open to artists at all levels, both emerging and established, based anywhere in Australia. Individual artists and creative collectives working across all genres are eligible to apply. Please note, interstate applicants are not eligible for grants providing tech support and in-kind access to ILA’s technology/venue as ILA is unable to cover transportation costs to Adelaide.
What types of projects are eligible for funding?
Projects must involve the development, creation, presentation, or production of new or existing works that feature immersive technologies. Multidisciplinary projects are highly regarded.
How do I apply for the ILA Artist Fund?
Download the application form from ILA’s website. Once you have completed the form, all applications must be uploaded through the digital submission portal on ILA’s website. Email or in-person submissions will not be accepted or considered. However, if you have issues with the submission process we welcome you to contact ILA by email, [email protected]

What should I include in my application?
Your application should include an artist biography, key achievements, career goals, project details, a video submission, an itemized budget, and any additional support material such as letters of endorsement or links to existing content.
Can I apply for both the ILA Support Program and the Quick Response Program?
Yes, you can apply for multiple offerings, but you can only be awarded one grant at a time.
Can I get feedback on my application if it is unsuccessful?
Due to the high volume of applications, detailed feedback is generally not available unless there was a significant issue with the submitted materials. However, you are encouraged to reach out with any questions well in advance of the closing date.
